Fish and Sea shells home decor/Best out of waste craft idea

Hello, Here is my one more up-cycling project, I up-cycled Styrofoam or Thermocol and cardboard for this project. I tried to do something different from my usual techniques, hope you will love it.

Materials used: Waste styrofoam or thermocol, Cardboard, POP (Plaster of paris), Glue, Skewer/Kebab sticks, Sea shells, Sand, Acrylic paints, Varnish or color sealent.

Here is a video Tutorial

Step 1

  • I used the waste styrofoam which comes in elecronic appliences packing which is dense one, normal one may not give the same result. Cut it into pieces. You can printout fish desgn and use it like stencil or you can draw fish yourself. Cut out the fish shape and trim the edges and sand at using sandpaper to make it smooth.Stick a skewer stick or kebab stick in the backside.

  • Utilicé la espuma de poliestireno residual que viene en un paquete de aplicaciones electrónicas que es densa, una normal puede no dar el mismo resultado. Cortarlo en trozos. Puede imprimir diseños de peces y usarlos como plantilla o puede dibujar peces usted mismo. Recorte la forma del pez y recorte los bordes y lije usando papel de lija para que quede suave. Coloque una barra de brocheta o una brocheta de kebab en la parte posterior.

Step 2

  • Make paste of 2 tspoon POP(Plaster of paris), 2 tspoon glue and 1 tspoon water. Cover the fish with this paste, i gave 2 coats.

  • Haga pasta de 2 tspoon POP (yeso de París), 2 tspoon pegamento y 1 tspoon agua. Cubrir el pescado con esta pasta, le di 2 capas.

Step 3

  • Paint the fishes as you wish using acrylic paints.

  • Pinta los peces como quieras utilizando pinturas acrílicas.

Step 4

  • Cut the cardboard as shown ans stick it together to form a strong base. make holes on it and fix the sticks into those holes.

Step 5

  • Stick the conch and sand on the base. Cover the project with varnish or color sealent.
